Emergency/Pandemic Readiness

In a crisis situation, the transportation infrastructure is often impaired immediately, leaving hospitals vulnerable in their most critical time.  Hurricane Katrina, H5N1, Super Storm Sandy, California Wild Fires and 9/11 clearly illustrate emergency operating conditions in which hospitals must treat all waste as infectious waste for the good public safety.

On-site sterilization programs provide a safe and compliant means of managing contaminated waste from a patient with a highly infectious disease.  In a recent example, a hospital was forced to spend $100,000 a day to ship this type of waste to a commercial incinerator for one patient.
